Volunteer

We are looking for women who have an interest in working with women and supporting women and children who have experience of domestic abuse.

There are a variety of tasks you can do as an RWA Volunteer: Admin, Fundraising, Awareness Raising, DIY, Publicity, working with women experiencing domestic abuse through our women’s group, providing transport to appointments etc. Volunteers can also work with the children and young people by spending time with them at our office or at the refuge, taking them on outings, and befriending them. Helping to raise awareness about the issues surrounding domestic abuse is another area where volunteers can help, through giving talks to groups or agencies. This list is lengthy but not exhaustive and volunteers can be involved in all or any part of this work.

Expenses for travelling will be reimbursed and training will be given.

All volunteers must complete an application form and an enhanced disclosure.
