Reducing The Risk of Homelessness Amongst Eastern European Women Project

Ross-shire, Caithness &Sutherland & Lochaber Women’s Aid have launched a new project funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The new project aims to raise awareness amongst the Eastern European community of services available and to provide support within this community to help combat homelessness as a result of domestic abuse. The project seeks to ensure women are better supported to sustain tenancies and cope with the practical and emotional issues of being affected by domestic abuse.

Women At War

A group of our service users took part in a Women at War project, Women at War is a collaborative community engagement project between Archaeology Scotland and Ross-shire Women's Aid. The project focused on researching and recording HMS Owl, (now known as Fearn Airfield) and the role of the Women's Royal Naval Service who where based here from 1942.
